The sun tried to shine, some clouds threatened, but the weather held and over 37 horses & riders enjoyed the day on the trail, trying the obstacles.  Some absolute rookies (both horses and riders) took up the “Back to Basics” challenge. Horsemanship, Sportsmanship and Fellowship was on full display!

Noted: Speedy Healing wishes to Shelley Livingston when her horse forced a hard “ground check” at the drag. It was our first ever ambulance attendance. Many thanks to all who pitched in to secure her, Junior (her horse) and generally help out…Thank you to her group for taking the two rookies from the last group under their wing and being so welcoming…I heard some info exchanges being done at the final obstacles…Special thanks too, for Sweet Grass Teddy’s assistance to me. You have no idea how stressed I am before the first horses go out. I almost squeezed the stuffing out of him when he arrived…SO many new stories and smiling faces when all were done!
